Michelle Phillip is the musher for the Tagish Lake Kennel and is set to race the 2018 Iditarod Dog Sledding race. 3/4/2018.  We wish her and her dogs' good luck in the race!!

What a great experience this conference this was.  The agents that attended were:

I was able to pitch the Alabama book to Kourtney Price, and Bethany Morehead.  I really enjoyed listening to Marissa.  She was knowledgeable and funny. Her best advice is to #putyourbestfootforward.  After the conference, I spoke to her and told her as most writers are when they finish their book they want to find an agent fast.  Unfortunately, I was no different and didn't put my best foot forward. Marisa asked has this book gone through a revision.  I said YES.  Recently, I rewrote the book from a 1st person/present tense to a 3rd person/past tense.  She handed me her card and said send it to me.  Keep your fingers crossed one of them likes it.  This journey is just beginning and I would love to take you on the ride with me!!

Plotting the Alaska book

I love when the book characters start talking to you especially if the bad fairy shows up.  This book is going to be fun, and fast-paced just like Tagish Lake Kennel dogs.  Thank you Michelle Phillips, for allowing me to mention you and your beautiful dogs in the book.  

Starting Alaska

So excited to start working on Alaska's book!  I have started research and really want to add the Iditarod Race and would loke the setting to be the Yentna Station Roadhouse.  I am looking into local stories to pull into the story.

Entering #Pitmad contest on Twitter

I was about to enter a contest to gain exposure to literary agents on Twitter when someone asked me a plot question and it made me think.  I ended up going back to the manuscript and adding this plot suggestion.  I have it out to the editor now and waiting to hear her thoughts!! 

Meet with 3rd & 4th-grade focus group 

I meet with the 3rd and 4th grades today to talk about the book today and had so much fun.  The kids were great and had some good feedback.

What an exciting day today was, we had Alaska, California, Kentucky, South Dakota and Wisconsin Tooth Fairies came to the house to get dolled up.  I LOVE how the pictures turned out.  I hope you do, too!!
